Mimbo Pro 2.2 released

Today we’re happy to announce another update to Mimbo Pro, making it version 2.2.

This update is totally free and available from the accounts control panel.

On top of the normal bug fixes, new features this time include:

• Search result highlighting. The search phrase is now highlighted in the search results pages making it easier to tell how relevant the search results are.
• More sidebars than ever. We’ve added two new sidebars, both can be used optionally. One is on the right hand side of posts and allows you to replicate the look of the original version of Mimbo Pro. The other can be used to display a different left hand sidebar on single post pages. Again, it’s optional – if you want the sidebar to use the same sidebar everywhere then simply use the normal one, but if you’d like to display different things on single post pages you now have the power.
• The first few theme filters have been added. This is purely for child theme customisations and Mimbo Pro specific plugins allowing theme users to access and control elements of the theme without touching the original files. It’s something we will be building upon and improving considerably in future releases.
• A small change to enable the hiding of the carousel. All you have to do is set the carousel quantity to 0 and it will not show.

This version of the theme is all about giving you control over things. We want to make Mimbo Pro as flexible and powerful as possible and this is all helping us move towards that goal.
