Elemental Designer

Elemental Designer is a WordPress plugin, created specifically for the Elemental WordPress theme.

The plugin was created to give you an easy method for customising the look and feel of your Elemental powered site, easily changing it to fit your branding and colour choices.

Elemental Designer adds a new ‘Design’ tab to the Elemental theme options, offering you a suite of new settings to tinker with. You can change a variety of colour and image settings, including background and header colours, background image and image positions and, for the more advanced developers, there’s a box for entering your own custom css styles.

The colour picker is nice and simple, pick a single colour, and the other colours are calculated for you to keep text and content readable at all times.

Elemental Designer is a plugin for the WordPress theme framework, Elemental.

Elemental is a WordPress theme that works equally well as a theme, or a theme framework. A theme framework is a special theme that does the complicated stuff so that Elemental Designer doesn't have too. The big advantage of a WordPress theme framework is that the functionality is kept separate from the design. This means that updates and bug fixes can be released more easily, and more regularly meaning a better theme for you.
