It’s been a long time coming but we finally have a new theme ready for release here on Pro Theme Design.
This is actually a theme I have built on and off for about 6 months, but over the last couple of months things have really taken off, and I brought Darren in to help tidy up the design and consult on the features. Elemental has taken our theming to a whole new level, with stacks of actions and filters for plugin and child theme use – and with a load of new widgets to allow you to make your site look the way you want them to look Elemental is the base for things to come.

You can read more of the specifics on the Elemental details page, and you can check out the Elemental demo here.
As an example of Elementals flexibility you have only to look at this site, and at my own personal site. Both Pro Theme Design, and Binary Moon run Elemental as a parent theme, with child themes customizing the styles and adding a couple of new templates. Hopefully you’ll agree that they look pretty sharp.
We have lots of ideas for the future of Elemental, and already have two child themes planned, one of which has already had screenshots posted around the interwebs (it will be a hyperlocal theme called The Local).
As an introductory offer – the first 10 people to buy the theme with the coupon code below will save 25% of the price of Elemental. The coupon code, is imaginatively name, ElementalSave25

Damn! I purchased yesterday but overlooked the coupon code! Always read everything first.
Hey Reinar – sorry you missed out. We’re going to be releasing another theme in a couple of weeks so if you’re interested I will make sure you get a discount on that one?
Hi Ben,
I would certainly be interested in that. Currently playing with it off line, and it’s really top notch Ben – you’ve done great here! This is a “platform” I intend to stay on for f1ezine.com.
That’s great to hear – I will let you know more nearer the time. Thanks
Wow. impressive work ya´ll.
Please tell me you can get the theme to work with ie6 and above..or at least ie7 and above.
the menu is not appearing as horizontal, but vertical rather..
also wondering if there is a discount if you get the whole scene, elemental, mimbo and dispatch.
Hey Jacob – thanks for the comments
We know about the navigation issues with IE6 but don’t consider it a very high priority problem. I suspect we will fix it at some stage but currently we think there are more important things to look into.
A discount for buying everything is an interesting idea and certainly something we will consider for the future.
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to say congratulations with the release of Elemental!
Cheers,
Patrick
Thanks Patrick – most appreciated
Any news on the first child theme “The Local”?
Will this be useable as Mimbo Pro replacement or are there plans to develop an Elemental child theme ready to do this?
There are lots of plans to create new Elemental child themes
Also The Local is coming very very soon (days rather than weeks)
The theme looks really awesome but I am too late for that. Recently I have won the theme from one theme. Although the elemental theme looks professional it need some improvements (I am a designer by myself). Keep up the good work
Hi Ricky – what sort of improvements do you think the theme needs? Your comment was quite vague but if you can suggest some improvements then maybe we can incorporate them
