Homepage Layout

1. Featured Content This shows either the latest post published or, optionally, 4 Featured Posts in a slider. If you want the slider then the 4 featured posts are controlled with Featured Content functionality.
2. Featured Categories The 4 Featured Categories can be selected in the Theme Settings. If there are no featured categories selected then the theme defaults to using the 3 categories that contain the most blog posts. You can also hide the featured categories in the Theme Settings.
3. Blog Posts A reverse chronological list of blog posts. Sticky posts will be highlighted in pale yellow.
4. Sidebar Widgets A widget sidebar that will appear on every page.

Theme Settings

The theme settings control the content displayed on the homepage. These settings can be found in WordPress Admin → Appearance → Theme Options.

• Display Homepage Categories - Tick this to hide the Featured Categories on the homepage.
• Homepage Categories - Select the categories you want to display in the Featured Categories section on the homepage.
• Display Header Image on - Select which pages you would like to display the header image on.
• Featured Posts - Select the number of featured posts to display in each of the featured categories.
• Display Related Posts - Decide whether you want to display the related posts or not on blog posts.

Sidebars

Opti has 5 optional sidebars. They will only display if they contain widgets.

The sidebar widgets will display on all pages. Either in the left or right sidebar, depending upon the page type.

The footer sidebars will display, one after the other, in columns in the footer of the site.
